Thank you. $300,000 has recently been sent from Australia to Nepal to continue and grow the work of INF in some of the most remote villages across Western Nepal.

The funds sent from INF Australia are a combination of generous donations from supporters and from the government’s ‘Australian NGO Cooperation Program’ [ANCP]. INF Australia only receives money through this program because it also receives donations from the public.

“Everyday Australians are unlocking government funding which means even a small gift goes a long way,” says Phil Morris, INF Australia CEO.

If you’d like to be part of the ongoing work in Nepal click here. Donations are also tax deductible.

“Although we are concerned about a reducing aid budget, its encouraging to see Australian aid being used to transform people’s lives in Nepal,” says Morris. “I’d love to see our supporters reach out and thank their local Member; by being positive we can help motivate future funding.”

A large portion of the $300,000 will directly support INF’s mother and child health programs, and the empowerment of women’s groups in remote places including Jumla and Kapilvastu Districts. Funds are also being used in Baglung and Myagdo Districts where INF is working alongside people with disabilities.

“We’re thankful to our supports across Australia and the Australian government for partnering together to bring fullness of life to many in Nepal,” says Morris.
